Why I Photograph Weddings the Way I Do

An intentional blend of emotion, nostalgia, and honest storytelling

At the heart of my work is connection.

When I think back on the weddings that have stayed with me long after the gallery was delivered, they all have one thing in common: real connection. Not just between the couple, but with their people, their place, and the moments that made the whole weekend unforgettable.

That’s what I aim to document.

My approach blends documentary-style storytelling with romantic, intentional imagery—portraits that are composed and elevated, but never stiff, and candids that feel like you’re right back in the moment. The moments that matter most often unfold quietly, and I want you to be fully present in them, not performing for the camera.

The beauty of film

There’s something about film that invites stillness and intention. It brings a softness, a sense of nostalgia—each frame a little imperfect and entirely timeless. Film holds a special place in how I tell your story.

I shoot both film and digital, weaving the two formats into a cohesive gallery that feels honest, emotional, and beautifully layered. My editing stays true-to-color with a touch of warmth—so your photos feel timeless and true-to-life now and for decades to come.

Why I love wedding weekends

While I absolutely love documenting wedding days, there’s something uniquely meaningful about capturing full wedding weekends. The slower pace allows space for the in-between moments—those unscripted memories that unfold when no one’s in a rush. From welcome dinners to quiet mornings, post-ceremony joy to Sunday brunch, these layers help tell a fuller story. Whether I’m with you for a single day or the whole weekend, my goal is always the same: to document your story with care, intention, and heart.

What it’s like to work together

From the first inquiry to your final gallery delivery, I want this process to feel effortless and meaningful. I take the time to understand what matters most to you, so I can show up with intention and care—not just as a photographer, but as someone fully invested in your story.

On your wedding day, I’ll be a calm and thoughtful presence—there when you need direction, and quietly documenting when you don’t. My goal is for you to feel like yourself, grounded in the moment, while I preserve every feeling, every detail, every in-between moment that makes your day yours.

Because I don’t just take photos—I preserve the soul of your wedding day. So when you look back, you don’t just remember how it looked—you remember exactly how it felt.
