The Old Courthouse in downtown Cleveland has so much character built into the space. Tall columns, sweeping staircases, beautiful architecture, and plenty of natural light give you so much variety without ever needing to leave the property for photos.
For Daniel and Gia, the classic architecture also fit the refined style they envisioned for their wedding perfectly.
An Intimate and Heartfelt Ceremony
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Daniel and Gia exchanged vows with so much joy, laughter, and a few happy tears. The energy in the room felt warm and genuine, and there were so many little interactions to document without needing to create or direct anything.
Those are always some of my favorite moments to photograph. The ones that happen naturally when couples have the space to simply experience their wedding day.
Timeless Wedding Portraits
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the courthouse’s architecture for portraits.
The staircases and columns gave us the opportunity to create more classic, elevated images, while the natural light throughout the building allowed for softer and more romantic photos as well.
Even during portraits, Daniel and Gia felt relaxed and present with each other. I never want portraits to turn a wedding day into a photoshoot, so giving them room to interact naturally helped their photos still feel like them.
