A Beautiful Ohio Spring Wedding at Weymouth Hill
There’s something special about the first wedding of busy season. After a quieter winter, it always feels exciting to step back into a wedding day and document a new chapter for a couple. This Ohio spring wedding was the perfect way to kick things off.
Set at Weymouth Hill, Sydney & Ethan’s wedding was full of thoughtful details, beautiful weather, and so many moments that felt effortlessly joyful.
For an April wedding in Ohio, the weather could not have been better.
It was unseasonably warm, which allowed everyone to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces throughout the day.
Weymouth Hill is a private property that has been transformed into a wedding venue. One of my favorite parts of the space was the tented reception. It created such a beautiful setting for the evening and felt elegant while still allowing guests to enjoy the outdoors.
The venue was also especially meaningful because of its proximity to the groom’s hometown, making it an easy choice for their celebration.
I loved all the little details throughout Sydney & Ethan’s day.
They incorporated swan details throughout their decorations, creating a cohesive look that carried through the day. It was subtle but memorable and added so much personality to the overall design.
Another favorite moment was their cake cutting. Sometimes the simplest parts of a wedding day end up being the most fun to photograph. This was one of those moments. It felt relaxed, genuine, and full of excitement as they celebrated becoming husband and wife.
This wedding also marked the beginning of a new busy season for me.
This will be my first full season shooting more film alongside digital photography. I’m incredibly excited about how film continues to elevate my couples’ galleries and overall experience!
There’s something about film that encourages me to slow down and photograph with even more intention. It allows me to focus on the moments that matter most and document them in a way that feels timeless and true.
As I move into a season filled with weddings, I couldn’t have asked for a better day to start with.
