There’s a reason film wedding photography has made its way back into the modern wedding industry — it slows everything down. It captures the kind of fleeting, imperfectly perfect moments that feel alive every time you look back at them.

On a wedding day, everything moves so quickly. Film forces me to slow down, to shoot with purpose, and to notice the small, fleeting moments that tell your story in a meaningful way. Every frame is carefully composed and full of intention — captured not just for how it looked, but for how it felt.

The process itself is so different — and that’s what makes it beautiful.
With digital, I can take hundreds of images in a single moment, instantly checking the back of my camera and making quick adjustments as the light changes. With film wedding photography, I don’t have that instant feedback. Each roll holds only 30–36 frames, which means every single image has to be intentional. I meter the light, trust my instincts, and click the shutter only when the moment truly matters.

After your wedding day, those film rolls are sent to a professional film lab where they’re carefully developed and scanned. Once the scans come back, I go through and hand-edit each one to make sure the tones, colors, and feel align with your full gallery. It’s a slower process — but that’s what gives film its magic. The soft, true-to-life tones and natural grain bring a warmth that digital simply can’t replicate.
Film adds depth and nostalgia to your gallery. It pairs beautifully with digital storytelling, creating a mix of images that feel timeless, intentional, and full of emotion. Years from now, you’ll look back at those dreamy film scans and feel the warmth of your day all over again.

You can easily add film onto any wedding collection — or add additional rolls if your collection already includes film to create a fuller gallery of film frames. It’s perfect if you love that romantic, nostalgic look or want your gallery to feel more full of life.
