Mackinzie and Adam’s Hotel Cleveland wedding was one of those days where everything just came together in a way that felt both elevated and easy.

Mackinzie’s family is great friends with my husband, so going into this, there was already a level of familiarity that made the whole experience feel really personal. I loved getting to know them better throughout the planning process — they really brought me alongside it all, which made it even more fun!
Adam played professional baseball and had actually left just a few days after their engagement session for his season in Mexico, so getting everyone back together for the wedding felt like such a full circle moment.

They love Cleveland, and this venue felt like a natural reflection of that. It also allowed their guests to stay in one place without having to leave throughout the day, which made everything feel more relaxed and connected.
From a photography perspective, every corner of Hotel Cleveland is gorgeous. The architecture is classic, and the space is so easy to photograph no matter where you are in the building.

The entire day went so well — every detail was so thought out, from the rehearsal dinner all the way through the last dance.
It felt upscale, but never too formal or stiff. There was a balance of elegance and fun that carried throughout the entire day. Mackinzie and her family made it a priority to create a great experience for their guests, and you could feel that in every part of the celebration!

One of the most meaningful moments for me was when Mackinzie dedicated her bouquet to her mom. It was simple, but really emotional, and one of those moments that stayed with everyone in the room.
The maid of honor speech, given by her sister, also brought tears to literally everyone’s eyes. It was so special!
And then, in true contrast, there were moments like shot-skis with her family that brought such a fun, laid back energy to the day. It all worked together in a way that felt really true to them.
Some of my favorite portraits were taken on the stairs in the hotel, where I got to play with flash and create something a little more editorial. But I also loved stepping away from flash and leaning into the natural moodiness of a winter wedding day.

That contrast — between the romance of winter light and the energy of the reception — gave their gallery so much depth.
